Q.
The pen stops operating after around 30 seconds when not being used. Is it defective?
A.
This is normal. The pen is designed to shut down automatically when not in use, to prevent the battery from running down. Just touch the pen tip to a table or other surface and it will resume operation.
Q.
How can I replace the battery?
A.
Remove the battery cap on the upper part of the pen and the battery appears. Remove the battery carefully and insert a fresh one. (See p.34 of the Manual for a detailed description.)
Q.
The middle LED on the receiver is blinking rapidly. Is something wrong?
A.
This means the pen battery is weak and needs replacing. (See p.35 of the Manual for details.)

Please confirm the following items.
Have you removed the insulation sheet used to prevent the battery from wearing down during shipment? (See p.35 of the Manual for details.)
Have you installed the driver software using the provided CD? (See p.9 of the Manual for details.)
Have you connected the receiver by USB cable to a USB port on the PC? (Make sure the left LED on the receiver is lit.)
Is there any obstacle between the pen and receiver?
Is the receiver oriented properly?
Are you using a USB hub? Please remove it, since it can be a cause of malfunctioning.
Q.
Operation is unstable. What could be the cause?
A.
Please confirm the following items.
Are the pen and receiver too far apart? (Please use within 30cm of each other.)
Is your finger covering up the transparent portion of the pen tip?
Is the pen orientation too horizontal when used? Try using it at an upright angle of at least 45 degrees.
Is the pen near a noise-emitting device, such as a fan motor or fluorescent lamp? Use it at a distance of at least 20cm from such devices.
Are two or more pens being used at the same time? When multiple pens are in use, keep them at least 1m apart.
Q.
Lines displayed on the PC screen are broken up. Why is this?
A.
Please confirm the following items.
Is the pen tip pressed firmly to the paper or other surface when writing?
Is the pen being used on a desk or other flat surface?
Is the pen battery low?
Also, try writing more slowly.
